My heart is filled with regret and anxiety this morning. When a former Agriculture Minister, Akinwumi Adesina, left our shores to serve as the Chief Executive of African Development Bank , he left with him a banner without stain like it says in our old and more meaningful national anthem, “Nigeria we hail thee”. Now he stands on the threshold of destiny; pleading for a renewal of his mandate, and skeletons are falling out of his cupboard that threaten his chances for a second term.
He has been investigated and exonerated once, why are they still pressing on the matter?
Are we sure they're skeletons really and not the scheming of our colonial lords not wanting us have someone like him there any longer?
He's been accused of corruption The honourable thing to do is to resign or at least not seek re-election But I know the Nigerian spirit in him no go gree
You will prevail... Every voice of accusation is silenced in Jesus name. Amen
