Arsenal will once again test their title credential when they meet Fulham in a London derby this afternoon. After surviving Crystal Palace with 10 men last week, Mikel Arteta and his boys have been presented another opportunity to remain among the few unbeaten sides after three games.

Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi will seek to continue his goal scoring form against Man United at Old Trafford… today. The Gunners, who led the table for much of last season before an injury-induced drop in form saw Manchester City overtake them to win the league, believe they are better fortified than a year ago.

At Old Trafford, Manchester United will seek to bounce back after suffering a 0-2 defeat to Tottenham last week. Coming after a narrow 1-0 victory over Wolves in a game many believe would have gone the other way, but for poor officiating, Manchester United must be in better form to assure their fans that are ready to contest for their first title in 11 years.

Everton spent the last two seasons struggling to remain in the Premiership and with little or no investment in playing staff, Sean Dyche must find a way of raising his troops to overcome such teams as Wolves, especially when playing at home. Brighton begun the new Premier League campaign the way they ended 2022-23, putting opponents to the sword with their distinctive brand of front-foot football.

Moyes’ position as manager was reportedly under threat during a chaotic pre-season, but the signings of James Ward-Prowse and Edson Álvarez have lifted the mood in east London, and the pair could go some way to filling a Declan Rice-shaped hole in the Hammers midfield.
