Permanent Secretary, Special Duties in the Ministry of Finance Aliyu Shinkafi said this when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Army in Abuja.
He said: “Honestly, we are not happy that the Minister of Finance is not here today despite the fact that she was duly invited and she knew the importance of the issue we invited her to discuss with us. The committee, however, summoned Mrs. Ahmed, Director-General, Budget Office, Ben Akabueze and the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru, to appear before it next Tuesday to explain details of the funds so far released to the Army to fight insurgency, banditry and other forms of insecurity, from 2019 till date.
N198.84billion? Was it it shared among the top officers or it was used to fight terrorism? Buratai should be invited to explain if MBuhari will not shield him
Has it being judiciously spent? The number is not important. The way it is being utilized is. David used a catapult to kill Goliath. Sparta had 300 men and slaughtered the Persian army....no more excuses sir!!
Wjat about 1 billion naira Buhari gave to the military to buy weapons?
But they cannot do so if the government or some government officials is in cahoot with the enemies they intend to stop.
Pls what happened to the $1 billion supposedly appropriated for the military?Nig has zero regard for money
Is it not part the money that was used in buying properties in dubai by the former army chiefs
Smiles, keep growing fat jare.. atleast these insecurity business is so profiting for you. Since Nigerians fail to stand up and go there seperate ways..
But there mission not yet achieve
Just imagine. Until there is accountability, no end to insecurity. Some are only cashing out to the detriment of Nigerians.
