THE All Progressives Congress has announced Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 as the new date for the conduct of the rescheduled state congress in Oyo and Taraba States.
It was gathered in Abuja, on Monday, that the exercise was earlier suspended in the two states following allegations that some of the materials for the exercise were tampered with in Oyo, while stakeholders failed to agree for the exercise to be held in Taraba. The National Secretary of the Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the APC, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, confirmed the new dates in Abuja.
He said, “The suspended Oyo State Congress will now hold on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021. The CECPC had to suspend the exercise last Saturday the moment we learnt that the process was compromised.”
