Some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have called for fervent prayers to an end to the spate of deaths in the state.

They made the calls in separate statements on Friday in Ibadan following the sudden death in the UK of Angela, wife of Sen. Teslim Folarin, APC-Oyo Central.

“Madam Angela was a great wife of Ibadanland. Her death came at a time her husband needs her support.`I call on the teeming indigenes of Ibadanland and Oyo State as a whole to devote time for prayers for the state,” he said. Also, Dr Olusola Ayandele, a renowned businessman and APC Chieftain, commiserated with Sen. Folarin over the wife’s death.

The Ibarapa-born politician said the death of prominent people across the state in recent times called for fervent prayers.

Stop the evil things that are bringing the deaths & the death's will stop.

Jokers everywhere...

Stress, polluted environment, poor health habits, consumption of alcohol and drugs, etc. can kill. So, while we pray, politicians must understand that taking certain things for granted will impact heavily on everyone, whether rich or poor.

There is a prayer of Moses in the Qur'an, I think not mentioned in the Torah. If that is TRUE, the our prayers are useless. I have no doubt for there is no security in the world.

But the jagaban is giving money for loss of lives and property in the north? Where's the Logic?
