It is called ‘Local Passengers’ Flight Welfare Scheme’ and is intended for those who encounter challenges, while travelling by air within the country.

According to the underwriter, the new offering is designed to meet up passengers’ legal liabilities, compensate for losses encountered during and after trips such as baggage delays, mishandling and loss of baggage. It will also provide financial benefits for harm done to the health and life of the insured person or compensate for lost wages on temporary or permanent disability.

The Managing Director /Chief Executive Officer of the company, Ebose Augustine, said with a moderate premium rate for the policy, it is pertinent for all passengers to enjoy peace of mind provided by the policy when travelling.
