Anambra State has joined several others across the country, who can now test and provide results for COVID-19 patients.
This was contained in an NCDC document entitled, “National Strategy to Scale Up Access to Coronavirus Disease testing in Nigeria, which was sighted by our correspondent in Awka. Part of the document read: “In order to contain the outbreak, the government has decided to rapidly scale diagnostic centres to cover all the 36 states and Abuja.
“In order to characterize the outbreak and understand the transmission of COVID-19, more people need to be tested. To achieve good results means leveraging on the capacities and assets from other national disease programs for efficiency.
No need even because no case in Anambra as the purported index case was a scam
