Sampson Parker, who served during the administration of Rotimi Amaechi and 2,000 of his supporters have dumped the All Progressives Congress to join the Peoples Democratic Party.
This was contained in a statement by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr Paulinus Nsirim. According to him, governor Wike who was in Krikese Kingdom in Okrika, lauded Parker for taking the bold step to return to his former party, saying he was instrumental to the emergence of the immediate past governor of the State, Rotimi Amaechi, in 2007.
“Dr Parker came at the right time and nobody should discriminate against him because with the level of politics he had played, he will add value to the party.”
