The people of Ibeno in the Ibeano Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have vowed that they will not allow any local government to annex any part of their ancestral land for any reason.
In a press conference statement last week by Obong Samuel Atang and Manfred Ekpe, the people of Eket said, “We are ready to chase away any investors till justice is done; this is a notice to intending investors all over the world who have interest in establishing business on the Akwa Ibom Atlantic Coast.
But in a counter world press conference on Wednesday the people of Ibeno said they would not keep quiet and lose a prospective investor due to the excesses of the Eket and Esit Eket communities.
Sometimes because of the bad regulations it's better the oil stays in the ground. It can destroy a lot if not collected properly, considering the ecosystem.
This is one of the reasons Dangote chose Lagos to build his refinery.
Relocate it to another state.
Same way ondo state lost dangote refinery to Lagos.
