David Akintola, says he is looking forward to having a fruitful partnership with Italian striker, Mario Balotelli, after completing a move to Turkish side, Adana Demirspor.

Akintola on Tuesday completed a €2.4m transfer to the Turkish Super Lig newcomers from FC Midtjylland, ending his seven-year stay at the Danish club. In his prime, Balotelli featured for top clubs like Inter, AC Milan, Manchester City, Liverpool amongst others as well as representing Italy at the Euros, UEFA Nations League and World Cup, and scoring 14 goals for the Azzuris.

The 25-year-old scored seven goals while also providing seven assists in 37 games in all competitions while on loan with Super Lig side Hatayspor in the 2020/21 league season. “I’m looking forward to playing with him. Hopefully everything goes well. He is a very experienced player that has played at the highest level for a very long time,” Akintola told“I’m looking forward to learning from him, to playing with him and hopefully we can have good chemistry on the pitch and outside the pitch.
