Akeredolu Lauds NBS/World Bank Transparency Report on Ondo – THISDAYLIVE

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has hailed the National Bureau of Statistics transparency report non the state.

Akeredolu said the low poverty incidence in Ondo State is a testament that targeted plans, matched to the sustainable development goals, are improving the economy of the and reducing poverty. Akeredolu said:”In our efforts to transition the state to an industrial state, our initiatives like the Oil Palm, Red Gold initiative, has created over 5,000 jobs; Ondo-Linyi Industrial Park in Ọrẹ has created over 2,000 jobs, the afforestation revitalization scheme has generated over 1, 000 jobs. There are also other private concerns in the state doing the same.”

“We were awarded for our dogged focus on strengthening the fiscal sustainability, transparency and accountability of our state’s finances.
