Super Eagles coach, Austine Eguavoen has noted that the team is short of one player in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
He explained that instead of 28 players, only 27 are available to him, but added that all Super Eagles’ players in Cameroon are healthy and ready for Sunday’s round of sixteen clash against Tunisia. The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner said he already knew the players to start the game for Nigeria but was unwilling to disclose their identities.Odion Ighalo, who was supposed to complete the squad was not released by his Saudi Arabian club, making it 27 in the Super Eagles camp.
“We’re here with supposedly 28 but we’re here with only 27 and everybody that has come on this trip is ready to play but at the same time we cannot play with more than eleven at a time,” the former Super Eagles defender said.
