The president of Afreximbank, Prof. Benedict Oramah, says Africa has commenced a journey into riches with the signing of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.

Oramah said it was good that Africa had decided to take its destiny in its own hands with the AfCFTA signing, regretting, however, that the COVID-19 pandemic shifted the commencement of the trade agreement from July this year to January next year.

Others who participated in the webinar included the Director of Agriculture and Commodities Division, World Trade Organisation, Edwini Kessie; Partner, King and Spalding LLP, Daniel Crosby; Director of Legal Services, African Export-Import Bank, Samallie Kiyingi, the immediate-past Registrar, UNIRMCT, Olufemi Elias; and Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association Section on Business Law, Mr Seni Adio .
