The FCT chairman of NCWS, Mrs. Hadiza Umar, while briefing newsmen in Abuja, advocated stiffer punishment for Abbo to serve as deterrence to others who assault women in workplace, shops or markets.
“We want to stop the barbaric habits on women either at home, in the market, shop, workplace and everywhere in the country. She called on the United Nations and other international organisations to ensure the prosecution of Abbo in order to guard against future occurrence.
Dont we have enough laws to deal with this matter at home ? Every little thing EU ,US or UN haba!
I believe this is a civil case and not criminal. They'll settle out of court and the woman will be a millionaire. As for the women's group: 13 year olds are being married off to old men. What are you doing about that?
Let us hear word already... I think this guy's crime is that he defeated a sitting female senator. Why are they still making noise? Even if he is removed from senate, we wont vote for that woman...
Yes!!!
His he a senator or a Mad man.. Cus am confused
Which come be UN own for the matter. Take the matter the courts...
Let them go to hell.this simply means someone is multiviting them or behind this
Make them send am jail abeg their own too much
UN intervention when they have all evidence to take him to court? Who did this to us?
I tire ooo. The guy Don beg na still animals wen think say them pass God still dragging this matter. Mistake number one never agree or apologize for any wrong thing in naija esp. Women issues
UN intervention ko, sango and ogun intervention ni! When will we have sense and deal with our issues ourselves. A straight forward case is blown out of proportion bcos of Colo mentality.
UN intervention to do what?.In the end,the issue will have to be settled between both parties, and not be politized or an avenue for cheap publicity.
