According to a statement signed by Ralph Nwosu, the party’s national chairman, and Said Abdullahi, its national secretary, activities of the suspended officials contravened article 15 of the its constitution.
The party also announced the appointment of Mani Ahmed, a presidential hopeful in 2015, as chairman of the party’s board of trustees . It said Ahmed was chosen as the party’s BoT chairman at the end of an emergency national working committee and critical stakeholders’ meeting on Tuesday.“The party’s former chairman in Abia was expelled; replacement for the suspended state chairmen will be announced in due course,” it added.
It asked all executives at ward, local government and state levels to continue structuring the party at the grassroots for its campaign take-off. It also asked the party candidates at all levels not to be distracted by the activities of a few members, but to remain focused ahead of 2023 elections. They said it was constitutionally wrong for Nwosu to stay that long as the party’s national chairmam.Bamidele Ajadi, ADC deputy national chairman, said since Kachikwu emerged standard bearer of the party, he has failed to come up with a strategy for the party’s presidential campaign activities due to commence soon.
At this time of electioneering period? They stand no chance 🙄
This Nwosu will be the end of this party. He obviously set it up for business, he cashed out by selling out to the highest bidder every 4 years.
