The Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Board will begin on Tuesday to screen Christians aspiring to go for pilgrimage in Rome.

The screening exercise for the aspiring pilgrims from the 21 local government areas of the state is scheduled to end on Thursday, November 18, following which orientation for successful aspirants will hold on November 30. Executive Secretary of the State pilgrims board, Rev. Zenald Love who made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen in Yola, added that the Rome-bound pilgrims will leave Nigeria from the Yola International Airport on December 1.Breaking down how the total sum was arrived at, Rev Love said it would take care of PCR testing in Nigeria and abroad.

“The amount will take care of visa as well. It will cover the flight from point of departure from Nigeria to Rome and back to Nigeria, including accommodation, buffet feeding throughout, local transportation in Rome and medical and insurance, among other things,” Love said.He further disclosed that the Adamawa delegation for the 21 pilgrimage to Rome will be led by the state Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria , Bishop Stephen Mamza.
