There was a protest at the headquarters of the Department of State Services in Abuja on Saturday over the detention of RevolutionNow convener, Omoyele Sowore.
The DSS through its spokesman, Dr Peter Afunanya, on Friday confirmed receiving a court order that Sowore be released, but that no one had come for him yet. On Saturday, activist, Deji Adeyanju, in the company of Sowore’s lawyer and other protesters at the DSS headquarters, said Sowore had still not been released even after coming for him.“They have refused to release Sowore to me or his lawyer here,” he said.
A text message sent to Dr Afunanya for his comments on the situation was not replied at the time of writing this report.
