Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has described the Abule-Ado explosion as a situation he has never seen before.Sanwo-Olu said this during an assessment of the scene of the explosion on Monday morning alongside his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat.
“I must confess I have seen anything of this magnitude before, it’s like a war zone,” Sanwo-Olu said during the inspection. He also inspected the Bethlehem Girls College in Abule Ado, which was completely destroyed by the explosion.
Government should run their investigation, and know the cause of the explosion,to prevent such from happening in the future .may Nigeria be safe for us all .
Curious: TRUCK ACCIDENT at a GAS PLANT on a SUNDAY when NNPC was actively pumping gas from Atlas Cove. Magnitude of SHOCK WAVE was WAR GRADE. In some climes, that environ would be swarmed by bomb-squad/investigators. Is our Security in the wrong hands? Will govt. bury this?
Do something about it. This happens in Lagos regularly
Must u wait till dis happens danger everywhere
The issue of possible terrorist attack should not be ruled out completely. I believe the explosion was heard as far as yaba, Ikeja and egbeda axis. Let the antiterrorism unit look into the scene and check for IED or any other form of explosive materials
What I expect the government to do is look for the cause. The damages is way too much for just a pipeline explosion. This could be a bomb or something that went off close to a pipeline. Such a damage is huge for a pipeline explosion especially the above ground surface area.
Come to borno
Am of the opinion that the explosion should be investigated.
So Sad indeed
