The state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, disclosed this to newsmen shortly after undertaking an on-the-spot assessment tour of the affected areas in Sagamu.
Describing the level of destruction of properties at the scene as shocking in the history of any protest in the state, Abiodun said his heart was broken when he saw the level of the destruction that occurred in Sagamu.“I am speechless. It was supposed to be a protest, but what I have seen here is that there are sinister objectives. The IBEDC office and the local government secretariat were vandalized with properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
