The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has approved three master plans for Ota, Sagamu and Ijebu Ode in Ogun West and Ogun East senatorial districts respectively.

The state Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Olatunji Odunlami, disclosed this during a press conference held to herald year 2020 World Habitat Day.

Olatunji said the governor gave an order for the commencement of the process of making three master plans in the two districts. He also added that the United Kingdom had entered into a partnership with the government to prepare a master plan for Abeokuta, the state capital. The commissioner who announced the plan to celebrate this year’s World Habitat Day scheduled for October 5 , said stakeholders would speak on the theme, “Housing for All : A better Urban Future.”He said, “That plan showed how the state should be developed in areas such as tourism and social development.

“For the first time in the history of the state, governor approved that we should do three master plans and we are in that process. We have done due diligence; we are just waiting because of the pandemic that took away about seven months from this year. We would have been on it. The governor approved three master plans for Ota, Sagamu and Ijebu Ode.”All rights reserved.
