Abia State Government Supports President Tinubu's Vision for Affordable Housing

Abia state government has thrown its support to President Bola Tinubu ’s vision for the provision of affordable housing to Nigerians .stated this when he received in audience, a delegation of the Federal Housing Authority led by the MD/CEO, Rt. Hon Oyetunde Ojo who visited him in the state.

He disclosed that his administration has already identified a location for the proposed diaspora village to be built by his government. He said: “Our agenda for evolving the ‘Diaspora Village’ project and provision of affordable housing aligns perfectly with the vision of the federal government. “I can assure you that you won’t be short of off-takers because the state government will show sufficient interest by off-taking the house and deal with it locally.”Earlier, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Federal Housing Authority, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo stated that housing is keen to President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

According to him, the plan is to meet with state governors and redesign together, the kind of housing to be built in each state, saying that the input of the Governors is important to the project.“There is a serious deficiency in the availability of affordable housing for the citizens and the FG is making efforts to address it.
