The Abia State House of Assembly has moved to check delayed workers’ salaries by some government revenue-generating agencies. Nigeria AbiaState SalaryDelay

It listed the state’s Broadcasting Corporation, Polytechnic, Aba, College of Health Sciences and Management Technology, Aba and College of Education , Arochukwu, as some of the affected institutions.

The Speaker, Chinedum Orji, who confirmed this at the weekend, said it was in this regard that the House set up an ad-hoc committee to investigate months of salary arrears owed workers in the institutions, which generate revenue with a view to finding a lasting solution to the development.
