Three Policemen, four officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and one maintenance staff on guard duty at the Governor’s office have been arrested for burglary and stealing.

The men are being interrogated at the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department, Yenagoa, over the stealing of N3.5 million from a safe in the Deputy Chief of Staff’s office. It was gathered that the main entrance of the office was broken into and the safe inside, vandalised. Confirming the arrest of the security personnel, spokesman of the State Police Command, Asinim Butswat, said the men on guard duty are undergoing interrogation after their arrest.
