A total of 42 persons have been killed by flooding in Niger and Katsina states.

that the National Emergency Management Agency said over hundreds of communities across Nigeria are affected by flood.

Umar Muhammad, the Katsina SEMA spokesperson, told NAN on Friday that 16,625 houses were destroyed, while 1,620 farmlands were submerged in Kafur, Danja and Ingawa LGAs.Muhammad also said the flood destroyed properties and farmlands worth millions of naira across the affected LGAs in the state.
