36m Nigerians now on national identity database

The Director General of NIMC, Engr. Aliyu Aziz, who disclosed this in Abuja on the sideline of the 3rd Engr. Brig.Gen M.O. Agu Annual Distinguished Lecture, said proper capturing of the identity of each Nigerians would help the government tackle insecurity.“Proper and adequate economic planning will also be done if Nigerians’ identities are adequately captured,” he noted.Meanwhile, with the successful deployment of enrolment Centres in South Africa, United States, United Kingdom, etc.

When you havent capture all Citizens residing in the country, you extend the exercise to other neighbouring countries.Those that had been captured are yet to receive their identity cards. Isnt this madness

The move is good, but nimc needs to issue out identity numbers to those of us who have registered for over a year now, and we are yet to receive any number. Checking on nimc website is not working either
