The association, headquartered in Denmark, said despite not being a political or religious organisation, its target was to ensure peace in Africa before, during and after the elections. Speaking in Ibadan during the conferment of International Mayor of Peace Award on Apostle Solomon Mustapha Oni by the association, its President, Ambassador Per Stafsen, said, “IAWPA is not in a hurry to present award of this kind to anybody anywhere in the world, but we are much excited going by the track records and immense contribution of sustainable peace occasioned by Apostle Solomon to confer on him the only 2022 International Mayor of Peace Award.
