2023: Why PDP, APC did not zone presidential tickets to South-east – Ned Nwoko, Igbokwe

, and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress , Joe Igbokwe, have explained why the ruling APC and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party did not zone their presidential tickets to the South-east.

Mr Nwoko, who hails from Igbo-speaking Idumuje-Ugboko of Delta State, said PDP decided to throw its ticket open because they were not convinced that the South-east has people with proven capacity to win the presidential election in 2023. “And this was the reason the party decided not to zone the presidential ticket anymore. So, what they did was to leave the ticket open and, of course, people knew that the best candidate that would help the PDP to win the next election is Turaki .”Mr Nwoko, who won the PDP Senate ticket for Delta North, recalled that Mr Abubakar had promised to support a candidate from the South-east if the presidential ticket had been zoned to the region.

A total of five APC presidential aspirants from the South-east participated in the party’s presidential primary.

I remember when OBJ won presidential election but couldn't deliver his village for PDP. OBJ lost the polling booth in front of his house.

They sent out 2 olodos and outcasts from south east to tell us why the party's didn't want to zone to their side. Pathetic umu anuofia.

By main looking for they analysis of why? Does those men sound like Igbo people? They political slave. Funny JoeIgbokwe who can not visit his town definitely can’t say anything much about IGBO’s Prince_NedNwoko who thought that money politics can Fitch him a space to home
