Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, a former President of the Nigerian Senate, has told youths nursing the ambition to run in the 2023 presidential election to

Saraki said it was already too late for such persons to stand any chance of winning an election in this country, adding that the system is too rigid.

“It is too late to win election. I will be very honest with you. The System is too rigid against you. You are a young guy, you don’t have money or network where are you going to start from? “Where I believe you can make a difference which no one can stop you is your a rights to vote. That’s the only role you can play now in reality.

“If we say we won’t come out because nothing will change …if we take that attitude, then they will win. Look at all over the world where there is big change, people that made the change are people like you. If you are not registered to vote, nothing will change. It will be who we want to be Governor, Senator that will be.

“Until those of you that matter take it upon yourself and ask what kind of Governor, president, Senator you want, nothing can change. “Their own view is 9 months to election they will share the money and win election. If they know the vote is not about sharing money they will perform well.

He should get out, he had the chance to do electoral reform

The Immediate past Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki is not saying we should not run, he is just advising that young people are aware of the challenges and should be prepared.

bukolasaraki is right. Without an amended electoral act, young people face an enormous burden. Dr Saraki is not saying we should not run, he is just advising that young people are aware of the challenges & should be prepared. We need to push NASS to pass the electoral act.

Bukola Saraki as SP passed the bill circa 2018 but the president refused to sign. Yet, bukolasaraki is still one of the few politicians clamouring for the electoral act to be signed before 2023 We need more people to keep mounting pressure on our lawmakers

Politics is expensive business. Imagine the cost of visiting every ward in your locality or state... Its not easy. That's why I give kudos OkeStalyf... Baba you de try.

We must not also shy away from the current postion that inec stand for, which is the ability to transmit election result electronically, we must make the National Assembly pass this into law. This will guarantee fairness and transparency in our electoral system.

This is the truth laid bare. We need an amended electoral act that would ensure easy participation of young people.

Every youth dreams of serving and making the world a better place... But you need money and plenty of money to vie and be voted for politically...

The electoral act must be amended to input and allow transparency, that is the only way our youth can be accommodated well in our electoral system, saraki is right with his submission.

Until the National Assembly passes a law that regulates the use of humongous amounts of money to prosecute a political dream, Nigerian youths will forever remain disadvantaged politically.

With saraki’s narrative it is an eye opener for the youth to get ready for the challenges ahead and be well prepared, we need more hands who are youthful in heart and thinking to get Nigeria working.

This very issues made me abandon partisan politics.. Because for you to run for office in Nigeria, you must be able to have a financial war chest of a billionaire. I am aware of the challenges.... Saraki ia right.

His concerns are very valid. Infact as youths, we should be concerned than he is The Nigerian political terrain is so rough that young people might not survive if we delve into it but the amended electoral act -if passed & signed- will solve some of these issues for a start 🙏

Very true, young people are likely to face a lot of challenges unless the electoral act is amended. It's a reality we must be prepared to face.

We need to push the NASS to pass the electoral act with the electronic transmission of results.

Our electoral process is already too monetized and this electoral act we have been begging to be signed into law doesn't fully address the challenges young people will face going into elections but it's a starting point.

Please I’m begging anybody to support me with anything you have to get drugs for my daughter please am a single mother pls am on knees please have mercy on me God bless you all 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

He wants to use the youth to achieve his ambition. By the grace of Almighty God, na we go use you achieve our ambition
