The House condemned all forms of attack on the facilities and buildings of the federal government in the country, particularly attacks on INEC offices.

The House, on Wednesday, following a motion moved by Kunle Olanrewaju , set up an ad hoc committee to conduct the investigation.

Responding to the point of order, Aisha Dukku , the Chairman of the Committee, said no such motion was referred to her committee. Quoting a report by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project , Mr Olanrewaju said INEC has suffered at least 41 arson attacks in 14 states between February 2019 and May 2021.
