A former member of the House of Representatives, Gbenga Peter Makanjuola, has been named the running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party governorship

Gbenga represented Ekiti/Isin/Oke-Ero/Irepodun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

He served as Deputy Chief of Staff to former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki in the 8th National Assembly.Sources within the party in the state informed DAILY POST in Ilorin on Friday that Gbenga Makanjuola was chosen out of three nominees speculated for the position. The two others are Chief Bode Oyedepo and former Special Adviser on Agriculture to former Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, Otunba Anu Ibiwoye.
