The Independent National Electoral Commission on Friday said it would beam its searchlight on politicians and political parties to track the sources of funds for their campaigns in the 2023 general election.

The commission, therefore, promised to set up committee to monitor election expenditure ahead of the elections.

He said, “As long as we have not notified anybody that the race to the 2023 general election has started, we are not unaware of what anybody is doing. We follow the law strictly. “Every candidate must be made to declare his bank asset. That is where they draw out their money, so we will make them present their statement of account right from the onset.

NA BULLION VAN SOME GOD DECLARE

It was the same statement you made last 4 years but those with unaccountable money stashed in the bank and elsewhere got quick clearance... the umpire is fantastically corrupt and Nigerians lost confidence in you.

What's the need? Did you regulate it afterwards?

Home and abroad?

We understand where you are coming from

Very good move by INEC

I thought it's part of the terms on that electoral bill...

It's now you're saying that, but when the time comes you can't do it..Cowards

Nothing new here abeg

It must be public declaration. Nigeria must work again after 2023, all these mess in governance from 1970 till date has to be corrected and change for good.

Èé no dey work.

If candidates declare assets to INEC, what's the essence of declaring to CCB. What will you do with the assets declared. Misplacement of priority

Not just declare but they must be verifiable!

Shut up immediately

This one na point way totori me

They know those they are after...

And there source of income

Right start

E be like say dem never pay this guy balance for the work way he do for dem in 2019 see as he Dey giv them rules 🧐🤩

I hope it includes Bullion Vans too?

Pscheeeeeeeew

Declare to who, if declaration is not available the Nigerians, leave it

What concerns INEC with bank assets, if not that they have motives against certain candidates

Please pass that bill first

We never know Buhari own up till now.

'No start wetin you no go fit finish, I be George Finidi oh oh'

Because na South turn

What is the average cash in a Bullion van?

Prof 'on the mic'

As innovative as this appears, I fear, INEC is not empowered by any law to check bank accounts of anyone not even the candidates. The commission can't possibly stop supporters to do billboards or do other things for the candidates and parties they support

Pass electoral bill first, age limit and qualifications that will screen most candidates off

Except Thiefnubu

INEC should not fail to walk the talk. Nigerians are watching. For the first time, conduct a free, credible and transparent election. It is a moral and legal duty you owe Nigerians as our electoral umpire.

See am. Audio

Deceive us Sir. We know it's just audio asset

They all have have decentralized market. Crypto

Hopefully, Buhari was above law.

Ha,except bourdillon

Akuko as usual

Not only that o... Dem go disclose their health records and also run 50 miters... Whoever can't run wont b allowed to participate...

But they always do according to your organization

Some go declare am with bullion van, but you already knew that

Declaration of age niyen,ndi

Are you kidding omoh they will not contest ooo hmm
