The European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States, Samuela Isopi, has said that it is important that the forthcoming elections in the country are “good, peaceful, credible and transparent.”

Although the Ambassador said that the EU, the USA, Yiaga Africa, and other partners were working to increase voter turnout in the North and the rural areas through other means, she stressed that the internet penetration and the influential status of the performing artistes will go a long way to encourage young people in the rural areas to vote.

“We are also in partnership with the other partners. For example, the United States is working with the same civil society, YIAGA, to mobilise young people in the rural areas especially young people in the North. Not just music, but other means to reach out to them,” she said. Isopi also spoke on the effect the 2023 election would have on the West African Sub-region, and added that Nigeria must get it right.“We want Nigeria to get it right, Nigeria, according to the latest figures I got from INEC, has 80 million registered voters, which is more than all the voters in all of West Africa. It is important that these elections are good, peaceful, credible, and transparent,”All rights reserved.

But the same EU props up one section of the country over the others. Tell me about hypochricy!

If is not peaceful will haven fall? what will they do? since they could not be able to do anything about rendition with out due process on mnk, what else, since the clear evidence of soldiers massacre innocent youth at his house compound even together with his parent till nothing

Right now no one thinks so but the present ppl in govt might have a rethink if the EU can guarantee to add some bite to their words

Well EU ambassador Nigeria elections is never peaceful and credible. Know this and know peace. The rigging has already started from Igbos prevented from registering in Lagos, to thugs disrupting registration of Christians in the north for fear that they will be voting PeterObi

This should be directed at Tinubu the violent man

Nigeria is currently not peaceful. What the hell is EU doing about it? If they were concerned one bit, they'd push for a total breakup of Nigeria. They all know since Britain put the damn contraption together, it's never seen peace. EndNigeriaNowToSaveLives EndNigeriaNow

As long as Obi wins.

And if it is not so wetin go happen? Please EU stop the bobo.

The way things are going it seems it wouldn't be. But God will help this country and his children. Amen 🙏

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What is your stake in it?

How?

Please is there anything good to be done if not peaceful?

I can’t curse.. the ones that’s been violent n corrupt since what have you done? The west will not save us o.. Africa save yourselves

I guess is not going to be oo

What does that mean? Is the EU planning disorder already? Fellow Nigerians don't let these scumbags destroy your country, their intentions are NEVER good
