A cleric, Dr Koeleh Saleh, on Sunday lamented the state of affairs in Nigeria which he noted has continued to inflict hardship and suffering on the citizens.

“The general election is just around the corner and it is another opportunity for the citizens of this country to elect people of their choice to lead them.

“I urge the Baptist family not to trivialise this election because it is both one of our moral and spiritual obligations to the society.” Saleh said that given the critical condition in which Nigerians have found themselves, it would amount to a disservice to the nation for any eligible voter not to participate in the poll.

The president who called on Nigerians to get their PVCs added, “While we enjoin the electorate to come out and vote for the candidate of their choice, we call on security agents and INEC not to be partisan but ensure that a level playing ground is given to all contestants so as to make the process free fair and transparent.
