The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, on Monday, led 13 members of the House on a visit to the National Working Committee and passed a vote of confidence on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Aiyedatiwa, former Deputy Governor, was sworn in on December 27, 2023, after Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu's demise. Advancing reasons for their support for the Governor before the party's highest administrative organ, the Speaker said Aiyedatiwa had prioritised payment of salaries as when due, recruited 2,000 health workers and ensured cordial relationships among the legislature, judiciary and the executive arms of government.
