One thousand eight hundred members of the National Youth Service Corps posted to Bayelsa State have commenced orientation at the permanent orientation facility at Boro Town, Kaiama, in the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.

The orientation exercise, which started on Tuesday, was the first at the nearly-completed new NYSC permanent camp being constructed by the state government.

He recalled how as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in 2006, he was instrumental in the citing of the orientation facility in Kaiama during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan when he was governor of the state.
