The suspected DUI driver was heading west on eastbound SR-76 when he collided with another vehicle
A suspected DUI driver was killed and the driver he hit in a head-on collision was injured on state Route 76 in Oceanside Saturday night.the wrong way on eastbound SR-76, west of Melrose Drive, when he collided with a white Honda Clarity shortly before 9:30 p.m.suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to Palomar Hospital in Escondido.
The Oceanside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash. Police said they suspect alcohol and/or drugs may have been a factor. A section of the road was closed to traffic for about 2 1/2 hours while police responded to the scene.

Motorcyclist Killed in Crash While Riding with Group in OceansideA motorcyclist was killed and another rider was injured in a multi-vehicle crash while riding with a group Saturday afternoon in Oceanside, police said. The crash happened when one rider slowed down for a turning vehicle, causing a following rider to rear-end him.
