A 46-year-old woman, Jacqueline Richardson, has been arrested on suspicion of smuggling narcotics into the George Bailey Detention Facility. Authorities revealed the arrest on Thursday, stating that the investigation began when personnel at the Mail Processing Center intercepted suspicious mail addressed to inmate Aaron Beek, 47. Upon further examination, investigators discovered that certain materials within the packages were believed to be soaked with narcotics.
Detectives identified Jacqueline Richardson as the individual responsible for mailing these packages to Beek and executed a search warrant at her San Diego residence last Thursday. During the search, detectives unearthed evidence directly linked to the mail case and uncovered additional narcotics, including powdered fentanyl, M30 fentanyl pills, and methamphetamine. As a result of their findings, Richardson was arrested and booked into the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee. She faces charges of sending a controlled substance into a jail and possession of a controlled substance, along with other unspecified offenses.Sending a controlled substance into a jail is considered a felony offense in San Diego County, carrying a potential sentence of up to six years in custody
