A wildfire fueled by extreme Santa Ana winds ripped through a Los Angeles hillside dotted with celebrity homes on Tuesday, destroying structures and prompting evacuations for tens of thousands of residents. The blaze, which began around 10:30 a.m., has burned over 1,200 acres and is threatening more than 13,000 structures. Gov. Newsom declared a state of emergency and FEMA approved a Fire Management Assistance Grant to aid firefighting efforts.
