Santa Claus may be coming to town, but not before the Bexar County tax collector. Tax season is just around the corner, and for many city residents, payment deadlines loom amid the holiday cheer. For some, those deadlines arrive sooner rather than later. Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector Albert Uresti reminds San Antonio taxpayers that for those who chose the Half-Payment Plan for their 2024 property taxes, the first half of their total tax payment is due before Christmas .
' ALSO READ: River Walk lights shined for the first time 49 years ago Uresti notes that while the first half-payment deadline isn't until Monday, Dec. 2, taxpayers can 'avoid the rush by paying before then.' Here's where Bexar County residents can go to pay their taxes: Online at www.bexar.org/tax. Online credit card payments include a 2.1% third-party processing fee. By phone at 1-888-852-3572.
