Park Rangers at Zion National Park reported flash flooding in Zion Canyon earlier Thursday. Additionally, The Narrows has been closed to hikers while the threat of flash floods persists.
She recommended checking the weather forecast and flash flood potential before starting any trip in a canyon. Low-laying areas, like down-hill streets, riverbeds, dry washes and other depressions are most prone to flash floods.For visitors of Zion National Park, this means changing plans and opting for safer hikes.
