Alexander City police have arrested two people on several drug-related charges.At the checkpoint, the driver of a black Impala fled the area traveling south on Comer Street, initiating a short pursuit.
While searching the area of Comer Street for the items, officers recovered approximately 1.2 lbs. of Methamphetamine, digital scales, and a 9mm handgun. Officers arrested 47-year-old Neville William Parker, of Ashland, and 33-year-old Chassady Nicole Hudson, of Alexander City.
