“[We were saying] ‘You know, will we do eight [episodes]? Will we do six?’ We kind of came up with: ‘Let’s try and do around six, right?’“The idea was to do two sort of movie-ish kind of [episodes]. The thing I always remember with great movies is: ‘This movie’s great!’ And then it’s three-quarters of the way through, and you start going, ‘Please, don’t do the thing.’ And then they go on just that little bit too long,” he said.
