Teen charged in girlfriend's fatal overdose arrested for dealing drug to minorLewis was indicted in July 2023 on Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, which the indictment alleges was either marijuana or Xanax laced with fentanyl, and the reckless manslaughter charge.
Adrianna Danielle Taylor was found deceased in a home Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, the MCSO said. Through the investigation, the Sheriff's Office determined that the boyfriend of the 15-year-old supplied the tainted drugs.Lewis was out on a $75,000 bond awaiting trial scheduled for September.On April 22, 2024, The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a school resource officer with Mary G. Montgomery about an attempt to sale what is believed to be fentanyl to a minor/student.
MCSO undercover Narcotics began an investigation and found that the person attempting to sell was Lewis Powell Jackson. Jackson currently out on bond for manslaughter and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance to his 15-year-old girlfriend, Adrianna Taylor. Taylor was found dead from an overdose on August 31, 2022.“The MCPSS Resource Officer turned over the information quickly to our team and we were able to make an arrest before the pill was sold,” says Sheriff Paul Burch.
