LANCASTER, Pa. —According to a press release from police, officers arrived to the first block of Conestoga Street just before 8am on October 7th after receiving a report of a gunshot being fired. They searched the area but did not find any suspects.
After reviewing video footage, they learned that Doodley Charles, 18, fired a gunshot at a home in the area. Officers later spotted Charles in the 600 block of E. Marion Street. When they approached, Charles fled on foot into the backyard of a nearby home.He was found hiding behind an exterior basement door. A loaded polymer 80 "ghost gun" was found in the area.
Charles was charged with multiple weapons related offenses as well as multiple counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person for shooting into an occupied residence on Conestoga Street.
