Kwan’s teammate from the Cleveland Guardians, José Ramírez, will bat sixth in his sixth All-Star appearance.
Bochy told reporters Monday that he sat down with his second baseman with the Rangers, Marcus Semien, and had a conversation about his decision to put Kwan in the leadoff spot with Semien batting ninth.
