SpaceX is gearing up for the seventh test flight of its Starship rocket in January 2024, aiming to further demonstrate the capabilities of this next-generation spacecraft. The launch, planned for Saturday, January 11, will see the 120-meter-tall Starship, comprising the Super Heavy booster and Starship spacecraft, lift off from Starbase in Texas. This test will focus on the booster's recovery using giant mechanical arms, a feat successfully achieved in October 2023.
The continued development of new rockets will feature heavily over the next 12 months. Heading into the new year, SpaceX, for example, is aiming to really ramp up the launch rate of its next-generation Starship rocket.
