Sat, February 24th 2024 at 9:47 PMA fraternity at Shippensburg University was suspended this past week following allegations of hazing."First off you shouldn't put up with that," said student Jabrill David. "You've got to know your self worth. If you feel like you have to be tormented or lets say bullied to be in a group-- nine times out of ten you shouldn't be with that group. You should be where you feel needed and wanted at.
Doctor Elizabeth Allan with Stop Hazing explained that there is not always a reason why someone is hazed. "The individual has to ask themselves if they want to be a part of an organization that requires that of them first. Like that's the most important thing for them to address. We offer ways for students to report hazing, they can do it anonymously," explained Megan Silverstrim, a member of the Anti-Hazing Committee, and faculty member at the university.
