No injuries were reported, but police say a nearby home was hit by gunfire
Police say an armed man had barricaded himself inside a home on Brookfield Drive in Marlton and was firing shots.The shelter-in-place order in Evesham Township, New Jersey, has been lifted and a suspect is in custody after a barricade situation Monday morning, according to police.
Officers initially responded to a 911 call around 2:24 a.m. indicating there was an argument and one person was armed with a gun. Upon arrival at a home on Brookfield Drive in Marlton, Evesham Township officers were met with gunfire and could hear gunshots inside the residence, investigators said.It's still unclear if anyone else was inside the residence.One nearby home was hit by gunfire during the incident.
Fox was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and criminal mischief.The incident forced police to order a shelter-in-place for residents on Brookfield Drive and Kettle Run Road. Local school bus routes were also detoured in the area due to the incident.
