Sergio Garcia, the 2017 Masters champion, joined LIV Golf in 2022 and believes the players are not to blame over any animosity between PGA Tour players and those who have left

Sergio Garcia has hit out at the media for creating a divide between PGA Tour and LIV Golf players - and believes the game is in a 'perfect' spot.

At the Masters, the first major of the year, LIV rebels and PGA stars unite once again to create a star-studded field. It is something players on both sides want more often, with a unified playing field. "I think that we have the most amount of people playing the game, which is great, and people have to realize one thing, that the future of the game isn't us. We're not the future of the game. Neither me or Rory, no. We're not the future. We're the present of the game.

When asked if golf as a sport is too small for division, Garcia added: "I mean, obviously the more togetherness that you get, the better it is for everyone. There's no doubt about that. But there's room for everyone. I don't think that's a problem at all.
