Rocks recovered from the mantle bear a closer resemblance to those that were present on early Earth say researchers.Researchers at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in the US and Cardiff University in the UK have drilled a three-quarter-mile long core from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
